- VMware Aria Operations 8.18.0.24025145 is collecting metrics from 3 vCenters.
- The goal is to create a single view to review the ESXi host uptime, Ratio specs and disk latency by cluster for all vCenters.
ESXi core count is for the new Broadcom Licensing 16 core sweet spot. - The view can be set to specific date range (ex. a 3 month quarter) or run as a Report on first day of the month at 12:00am for the last x months.
- The view will sorts by vCenter, then Datacenter, then ESXi Cluster. The last row will have the sum or average depending on the metric.
- Since this is a lab, there are only single ESXi host Clusters
- Here is a zip file to import.
Aria Ops View – ESXi Uptime and VM Metrics by Cluster Summary
- Subject – Cluster Compute Resource
- Group by – Data center
- List of Metrics and Transformation Setting and Label
- Summary|Cluster Availability (%) – Average – ESXi – Uptime (sort by Ascending)
- Summary|Total Number of Hosts – Current – ESXi – Count
- CPU|Number of physical CPUs (Cores) – Current
- CPU|Demand (%) – Average – ESXi – CPU
- Summary|Number of Running VMs – Average – VM – Powered On
- Summary|Number of vCPUs on Powered On VMs – Average – VM – Powered On vCPU
- CPU|Current Overcommit Ratio – Average – VM – CPU Overcommit Ratio
- Memory|Workload (%) – Average – VM – MEM Demand
- Memory|Current Overcommit Ratio – Average – VM – MEM Overcommit Ratio
- Disk|Total Latency (ms) – Average – Disk Latency
- Time Setting
Relative Date Range – 1 Month - Note – the “Absolute Date Range” for 1 month would show all of last month.

Change the time frame as needed. - You can export into a CVS to clean up in excel for other reporting use.
- You can create a Report for the view and run it on a single vCenter or all and send via an email. The amount of columns makes the PDF looked mushed.
