  • Memory – Two 260-pin SO-DIMM DDR4-2933 slots
  • One 2.5 SSD bay and One M.2 NVME PCIe 3.0 x4 slot. (The board has a setup for a 2nd M.2, but there is no connector. The “screw” is plastic so you can use a 2242 or 2280 length card)  WDC PC SN530 SDBPMPZ-512G tested.
  • Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX201 with Bluetooth 5.1
  • NIC – Intel Corporation Ethernet Connection (11) I219-V
    PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0D4D&SUBSYS_330717AA&REV_00\3&11583659&0&FE

Comments-

  • Fan sound is a little louder when in heavy use than the Dell OptiPlex 5070 Micro, but not as bad as the HP ProDesk 400 G4 which has a humming sound when idle.
  • No SGX Enclave

Per https://www.virtuallyghetto.com/2020/09/esxi-7-0-update-1-now-includes-nic-driver-for-intel-nuc-10.html VMware-VMvisor-Installer-7.0U1-16850804.x86_64.iso should have the community NIC https://www.virtuallyghetto.com/2020/06/how-to-patch-intel-nuc-10-with-latest-esxi-7-0-update.html

No luck on the iso detecting the NIC.

I followed the VCSA 7 Image Builder setup to add VMware-ESXi-7.0U1-16850804-depot.zip and Intel-NUC-ne1000_0.8.4-3vmw.670.0.0.8169922-offline_bundle-16654787.zip, then remove the 7.0U1 ne1000 vib to mint the ISO. Success!
